Ajit Doval Meets Israeli PM Netanyahu To Discuss Regional Developments, Humanitarian Aid To Gaza

India has provided supplies of necessities in an effort to help the Palestinian community in Gaza by supporting humanitarian relief efforts.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been contacted by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval to discuss regional developments and the pressing need to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza, which is experiencing catastrophic levels of food insecurity.

Taking to X, Netanyahu said, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and updated him on recent developments in the fighting in the Gaza Strip.”

Over 30,000 Palestinians were thought to have died in the operation in Gaza, which Israel carried out in retaliation for the Hamas militant attack on October 7 that claimed the lives of about 1,200 Israelis and captured another 250.

The endeavor to free the captives and the problem of humanitarian aid were also discussed by the parties, he said.

The UN has issued a warning that at least 576,000 people in the Gaza Strip—one-quarter of the population—face catastrophic levels of food insecurity as a result of the Israel-Hamas conflict, which has exacerbated the humanitarian disaster.

Israel has been under pressure from the West to increase land supply by creating more routes and establishing more borders.

In addition, Mr. Doval met Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Israeli counterpart, Tzakhi Hanegbi, who was also present.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively participates in talks to advance peace and stability in the area and has maintained close communication with key regional leaders from the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan.
