People mocked Kajol for her skin tone
Kajol recalled her battle with her own skin and how she was judged for it when she first entered the Hindi film industry in recent interview.
Kajol stated during a chat show that she was referred to as someone who wears glasses, is dark and is obese. She was not worried about it at all. Kajol was aware that she was more attractive, intelligent and superior to everyone who was criticizing her.
She continued by admitting that she had issues with her appearance and had trouble accepting that she was genuinely attractive. According to her, it wasn’t until she was 32 or 33 that she finally started telling herself she looked beautiful enough when she looked in the mirror.
Ms Devgan said that, she continued to be herself and never let it show, “And as I said, you fake it, till you believe it and eventually you will make it”.
In a previous interview, Kajol had remarked that she had simply avoided the sun and denied having any skin-whitening surgery. She also mentioned that her skin had become browned from working outside in the sun for ten years of her life. She claimed that she lost her tan since she stopped working outside in the sun and stayed indoors.
