Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Gujarat, Kutch and Jakhau Port to view the situation of areas affected by Cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ according to ANI.
Amit Shah will also hold a meeting with Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel including senior officers. He will be conduct an areial survey to have an overview of the affected areas.

Amit to visit Swami Narayan temple
During his visit to Gujarat Amit Shah will meet people in Mandavi who were affected by the Cyclone Biparjoy. He will also be visiting shelter homes where the people have been evacuated. According to sources, after overviewing the maintaince facilities in Mandvi, later on the Home Minister will later examine food supplies and other amenities for impacted people while visiting the Swami Narayan temple in Bhuj.

Cyclone Biparjoy weakened into a “Deep Depression”
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cyclone Biparjoy weakened into a “Deep Depression” on June 16 over Southeast Pakistan bordering Southwest Rajasthan and Kutch, around 100 km northeast of Dholavira, and then travelled to Rajasthan after making landfall in Gujarat. The weather service predicted that it would further weaken into a “Depression” throughout the course of the next 12 hours.
As per the IMD reports,the cyclone Biparjoy originated in the Arabian Sea and swept across the west coast of India, which made landfall on Thursday night around 10 km north of the Jakhau Port in Kutch.
