Cyclone Biparjoy weakened into a "Deep Depression" on June 16 over Southeast Pakistan bordering Southwest Rajasthan and Kutch, around 100 km northeast of Dholavira, and then travelled to Rajasthan after making landfall in Gujarat.

India Meteorological Department states that cyclone Biparjoy is now entirely cut off from the monsoonal flow and won't have a negative effect.

In addition to Gujarat, Mumbai has also been prepared for, with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) deploying two extra teams there as a precautionary measure.
