Barbie Foot Challenge
Barbie movie has created a wave of fandom like never before. The movie released recently and the box office knew the results even before the movie released. Now, every other thing around looks pink as Barbie fever is of pink colour. The majority of moviegoers wore pink attire to reflect the movie’s theme since they were so eager to see it. The influencers’ and trends doesn’t seem to calm down with the release of this movie. Now,whats with this “Barbie Foot Challenge”?
The “Barbie Foot Challenge”
Numerous people, including celebrities, are obsessed with a sequence from the movie. Robbie’s beautifully arched feet were captured against a pink backdrop in the photograph. In the moment, Robbie’s persona could be seen removing her pink, fuzzy heels and standing on the tips of her toes while they were still in the air. Like the well-known Barbie dolls from Mattel.
The “Barbie Foot Challenge” on TikTok was started as a result of that particular photo. All the participants must reproduce the scene in order to follow the trend. In addition to receiving over 80 million views on the platform, the hashtags #BarbieFeet and #BarbieFeetChallenge also had a 2,950% a rise in search interest for “Barbie Foot Challenge” in just one week, according to the Foot, Ankle & Leg Vein Centre.

Doctors frowned upon the trend
Concerns about the issue have been raised by podiatrists – medical professionals who treat issues with the feet and lower legs. “Although the Barbie Arch makes a woman’s legs appear longer and toner, it is not without risk. If someone attempts the pose once or twice, they will likely be ok and produce a great TikTok video,” Dr. Jodi R. Schoenhaus, DPM, RPhs, FACFAS and board-certified podiatrist at Foot, Ankle & Leg Vein Center said.
“However, if attempting the pose and stride over long periods, there are some risks involved. The ankle is unstable, which can lead to ligament sprains and injuries, commonly seen with high heel use.”

Your spines are at risk GIRLS!
In addition to straining the lower back and causing muscle and spine problems, the high-arched position can harm the growth plates of young girls who are still developing, the expert warned.
The doctor also clarified the difference between performing the posture and wearing heels. Although the foot may be in the same position, Barbie Foot has no support at all, which puts extra strain on the body. Heels offer support to the heel and back of the foot.
“To walk on your toes without heels isn’t sustainable, and, in fact, the reality in the movie is that Barbie actually has flatfeet, along with 30% of the population. Considering we aren’t trained ballerinas en pointe, let’s keep the fad to movie stars who have props and multiple takes to make it look perfect,” he further said.
