CBI has sought additional time from Rouse Avenue Court to file the final chargesheet in the Land For Job case. The court has given time till June 7. The court will hear the case again on June 7. The court expressed displeasure over repeatedly asking for time. The court said that if the supplementary chargesheet is not filed in the next hearing, further hearing will be started. The court also said that at one time the court will have to use its power. The court said that if someone does not want to appear physically, then he can appear through video conferencing.
In the last hearing also, the lawyer appearing on behalf of CBI had said that the CBI director is currently busy. Therefore, it is taking time to file the final charge sheet. After which the court had given time till 29 May. CBI had filed the third supplementary charge sheet in this case on 6 March. In which Bhola Yadav has been made an accused. In the supplementary charge sheet filed by CBI, it has been said that Bhola Yadav has been the secretary of Lalu Prasad Yadav and he used to look after all the work. Bhola Yadav used to give instructions to the officers.
CBI has recovered evidence from Bhola Yadav’s computer in this regard. CBI had registered a case against the then Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and others. Lalu Prasad Yadav and many members of his family are also accused in this case, and they have got bail from the court. CBI has made 17 people accused in this case in which Bhola Yadav, who was the secretary of the then Railway Minister Lalu Yadav, has also been taken on the radar of the investigating agency.

Earlier, the court had granted bail to several accused in this case in February. Those who got bail include former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, RJD MP Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav and other accused. Case of Job in exchange for land in railways is from the time when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister. It is alleged that jobs were given in the railways by getting the land registered at a very low price. Many members of Lalu’s family came under the radar of investigation agencies in this case. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav were also called to the ED office and both were questioned for a long time.
