Delhi Police filed an application in Rouse Avenue Court to seek permission to interrogate Sahil and Vijay, two alleged associates of Kapil Sangwan.

The hearing was postponed as a key officer withheld permission to prosecute an alleged accused. The CBI, however, has secured prosecution approval for 30 government employees in the case but is awaiting clearance for another official.

The court will record statements from Jain and two witnesses on December 20. The case stems from allegations by Jain that Swaraj made defamatory statements during a television interview on October 5, 2023.

The Rouse Avenue Court is set to hear the Pul Bangash case, related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, on December 2.
