Delhi High Court has waived off fine of Rs 75 thousand imposed on petitioner and law student. On April 22, Delhi High Court had rejected law student’s petition and imposed a fine of Rs 75 thousand. During the hearing of case, lawyer Rahul Mehra, appearing for Arvind Kejriwal, said that this petition is completely unacceptable. Extraordinary bail should be granted in all cases.

How can such a request be accepted? Who is this person who comes in such a case? This is purely publicity interest litigation. It is a very sad situation. The petitioner’s lawyer said that my question is what is India? Is this land, roads and rivers India? I say no.

According to the Preamble of our Constitution, I am India. The court said that you are India? The court said that Rahul Mehra is appearing on behalf of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He says he is taking steps. He says he doesn’t need any help from you. Who are you to help them? How did you get the veto power? Are you a member of the United Nations? On which the court had said that if you have decided to release him then why have you come here? You are the United Nations, why are you here? He (Kejriwal) does not want any help from you.

The petitioner’s lawyer had said that I have no other option except going to this court. The petitioner’s lawyer had said that due to arrest of Chief Minister, the entire government has come to a standstill. The Chief Minister is the head of the government.
