A minor girl was brutally murdered in Delhi

New Delhi: On camera, a man stabs a girl 21 times and hits her with a stone slab as bystanders pass by, staring in horror but doing nothing.

The 16-year-old girl remains stagnant but the fierce attack continues, as seen in the incredibly upsetting video that was recorded on a security camera in Rohini, north Delhi, on Sunday.

On a busy street full of people, the teen was killed by her alleged boyfriend Sahil, as seen in the CCTV footage, but no one came to her aid.

An AC technician named Sahil, 20, was taken into custody on Monday in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the two had a fight the night before.

The teenager was stabbed numerous times by Sahil on Sunday night at the Shahbad Dairy area.

The video reveals that the killer had to shake the knife free at one point after it appeared to become stuck. The horrifying video then shows him picking up a stone slab and striking her repeatedly.

He appeared to leave but later came back and hit her with the rock once more. The girl was on her way to the birthday party of her friend’s son when she was attacked, the police said.

“They were in a relationship, but yesterday they had a quarrel. The teen was planning to attend her friend’s son’s birthday. The man followed her and stabbed her multiple times and hit her with a stone,” a senior official said.

Residents called the police, who arrived at the scene to find the girl’s body with blood pooled around her. The girl’s mother said: “We never knew about the man. We want the death sentence for him.”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal condemned the murder. “A minor girl was brutally murdered in Delhi. This is very sad and unfortunate. The criminals have become fearless, there is no fear of the police. L-G sir, law and order is your responsibility, please do something,” he said in a tweet in Hindi

Delhi women’s panel head, Swati Maliwal, said a notice has been issued to police over the incident. “The crime was captured on CCTV. Several people saw this, but did not pay heed. Delhi has become extremely unsafe for women and girls,” the news agency quoted her as saying.
