Arvind Kejriwal's aide is arrested on charges of assaulting Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP and former Delhi Women's Commission President Swati Maliwal.

A Delhi court on Saturday extended the judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar until 22 June in connection with the Swati Maliwal assault case.

The Delhi High Court asked Delhi Police to respond to the bail plea filed by Bhibhav Kumar in the alleged assault case with Swati Maliwal.

The FIR against Kumar, registered on May 16, includes charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal intimidation, assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to disrobe, and attempt to commit culpable homicide.

Delhi Police said that we asked for the phone of the accused, whose password was not given to us, the phone has been formatted in Mumbai.

Swati Maliwal has filed a case against Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary Vibhav Kumar under IPC sections 354, 506 and 509.

A police team, along with forensic analysts, visited the residence of the Aam Aadmi Party leader, where the alleged assault occurred.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken notice of the incident, summoning Mr. Kumar for a hearing today.
