List: Influential World Leaders Attending G20 Summit While These To Skip Event

Let’s have a look at the list of confirmed attendees who are all set to attend the most important gathering of the year.

G20 Presidency

India is to host the G20 summit this week which will be attended by many powerful world leaders in New Delhi. Topics of prime significance including geopolitical tensions, economic slowdowns, and rising food and energy prices will be discussed among US President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and other state heads at the summit this weekend.

Let’s have a look at the list of the confirmed attendees who are all set to attend the most important gathering of the year. US President Joe Biden has left for India to attend the G20 summit. Other influential leaders including Britain PM Rishi Sunak, Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Canada PM Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, South Korea President Yoon Suk Yeol, South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa and Turkey President
Recep Tayyip Erdogan are all set to attend the event.

However, Chinese President Xi Jinping won’t be able to present in the event. On his behalf, Chinese Premier of The State Council, Li Qiang, will lead the country’s delegation. Since the event started in 2008, this is the first time any Chinese president has missed the summit. Other than him Russian President Vladimir Putin, Spain President Pedro Sanchez, Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador will not be attending the mega event.

India has also invited the presidents of Bangladesh, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Egypt, Mauritius, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates in addition to G20 members.

Top executives from major organizations like the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, and World Bank will also attend the summit.
