NCP Crisis: 29 Out Of 53 MLA Attend Ajit Pawar Led Meeting, Need Support Of 36 MLA To Avoid Disqualification

Ajit Pawar faction also requested all former legislators, parliamentarians and working committee members to attend meeting in Bandra.

NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar Faction and Ajit Pawar led NCP are holding meeting separately today in Mumbai. Sharad Pawar led NCP issued a whip to party members to attend meeting to be held in YB Chavan Auditorium whereas Ajit Pawar faction also requested all former legislators, parliamentarians and working committee members to attend meeting in Bandra.

Ajit Pawar faction meeting started at 11 am. Maharashtra’s Deputy CM along with other party members unfurled National Flag. Praful Patel, NCP leader of Ajit Pawar faction says, “We have everyone with us. There is no need to worry.” According to sources present in meeting held by Ajit Pawar at Bandra, party workers were made to sign affidavit to show their allegiance to Ajit Pawar led NCP.

According to party sources, 29 of 53 NCP MLAs attended the party meeting convened by Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar in Mumbai on Wednesday, which will further increase. As per Maharashtra Legislature Anant Kalse, Ajit Pawar faction needs support of 36 MLA to avoid disqualification.

NCP leader Jitendra Awhad has reached YB Chavan in Mumbai where more leader are about to reach to attend meeting led by Sharad Pawar. He said, “We will see what happens at 1 pm. More leaders will come.” Sharad Pawar supporters raised slogans as leaders of his faction reached auditorium.
