Jail Or Bail! Court To Hear Manish Sisodia’s Bail Plea Today

Sanjay Singh got bail only this week. However, Kejriwal and Kavita have been caught by ED this month.

Manish Sisodia bail plea hearing today: The bail plea of ​​former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will be heard in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday. On Friday, a day before the hearing, Sisodia wrote a letter from jail to the public and supporters. In the letter, he wrote to the citizens of his assembly constituency Patparganj that they will meet outside soon.

In such a situation, it is hoped that he may get bail today. Recently, Rouse Avenue Court had sent him to judicial custody till April 6. Earlier, Sisodia’s bail plea was heard on April 2. During the hearing, Sisodia’s lawyer said that ED has not yet got anything from Sisodia. It has been more than 10 months since the investigation was completed.

Sisodia has been in jail for 13 months

Manish Sisodia has been in jail for about 13 months in the liquor policy case. He was arrested by ED on 26 February 2023. In such a situation, after Sanjay Singh gets bail from the Supreme Court, it is expected that just as he got bail, Sisodia can also get bail. However, during the hearing in the Delhi High Court, the ED had declared him the mastermind of the liquor policy. After this, Sisodia has still not been able to satisfy the court and ED regarding the mobile phone. ED is busy collecting solid evidence of money trail.

ED has so far arrested CM Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and K. Kavita in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. Sanjay Singh got bail only this week. However, Kejriwal and Kavita have been caught by ED this month.

Know what are the allegations against Sisodia

Liquor companies were given a rebate of Rs 144 crore when shops remained closed due to Corona. Sisodia changed 14 phones and 43 SIM cards to hide the evidence. 5 SIM cards were in the name of Sisodia. Sisodia received a bribe of about Rs 2.2 crore to benefit businessman Amit Arora. Those who got liquor tenders in 2021-22 were given undue benefits.
