Khalistani Terrorist Pannun Gives Death Threat To Punjab CM, Says Will Kill Mann on Republic Day

On January 26, Pannun called on criminals to come together and attack the chief minister of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

On Tuesday, terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani, made threats to assassinate state police director general Gaurav Yadav and chief minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann on Republic Day.

Pannun gave several death threats before

On January 26, Pannun called on criminals to come together and attack the chief minister of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). This is the most recent in a string of threats against Indian institutions and authorities issued by Pannun, the founder of Sikh For Justice (SFJ) and designated terrorist. In a video he published last month, the Khalisthani reader threatened to attack the Indian Parliament by December 13 at the latest.

Before it, another video purporting to show the Khalistani terrorist threatening individuals who were going to fly with Air India on November 19 by claiming that their “lives would be in danger” had leaked. Because of the Air India threat video, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a case against him.

SFJ is a “unlawful association”, was banned in 2019

According to the government, the SFJ is a “unlawful association” that was banned in 2019 for engaging in “anti-national and subversive” activities. The group’s goal is to create an independent Sikh homeland called Khalistan, separated from India. Additionally, Pannun was listed by the Center in 2020 as an “individual terrorist,” claiming that he was urging “youth and gangsters based in Punjab” to fight for Khalistan.

Nikhil Gupta, an Indian national, was charged by US authorities in November of last year for his alleged role in a plot to kill Pannun on US soil. US officials claimed that Gupta had given an assassin $100,000 to carry out the murder, with a $15,000 down payment already made in June of that year. Authorities in the US requested that Gupta be detained in the Czech Republic.
