Jury finds Trump liable in sexual abuse
Donald Trump, former president of the United States, has pleaded not guilty to accusations brought by the US government that he hoarded classified documents including important military secrets and plotted to hinder government efforts to recover them.
Days after becoming the first former president to be charged with accusations, Trump appeared before a judge in a federal courthouse in Miami on Tuesday.
Authorities assert that Trump lied and schemed to prevent the government from obtaining the nuclear secret documents and other highly classified military information that were kept at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
As he runs for president again in 2024, Trump is dealing with a second criminal case. Additionally, he is charged in a New York state court with fabricating business record pertaining to received hush money payments throughout the 2016 election.
In both cases, Trump has denied guilt and criticized the prosecutions and called them politically motivated. He is anticipated to arrive in New Jersey later on Tuesday, where he has set a press conference to address the allegations.
Trump showed up at the federal courthouse in Miami on Tuesday to surrender to authorities on charges that he illegally hoarded sensitive papers at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.
He was scheduled to appear before a magistrate court, beginning a legal proceeding that will take place during the height of the 2024 presidential campaign and have significant impact for both his political career and, more immediately, his own personal liberty.
In an interview with Americano Media on Monday, Trump stated that “they’re( US government) using this because they can’t win the election fairly and squarely.”
Additionally, there may be protests as the court appearance progresses. Some high profile backers have shown support using rhetoric. Trump himself has urged fans to take part in the scheduled demonstration at the courthouse on Tuesday.
