Buffalo Eats Gold Mangalsutra Worth Rs 1.5 Lakh, This Happened Next!

On Sunday, a buffalo in Maharashtra’s Washim district ingested a gold mangalsutra worth more than Rs 1.5 lakh. To get back the mangalsutra, a surgery was performed on the buffalo. The attempt was successful and eventually the magalsutra was recovered.

While getting ready for a bath, wife of farmer Ramhari hid her mangalsutra in a plate full of soybean and peanut shells.

After having a bath she forgot about the ornament and got indulged in daily chores and unintentionally fed the buffalo from the same plate.

She finally realized where she had hidden the mangalsutra after a lengthy and fruitless search. It was in the meal she had given the buffalo. At once she ran to check the plate but found it empty.

She told her husband, who subsequently phoned Balasaheb Kaundane, the neighborhood veterinarian. The doctor used a metal detector to examine the buffalo’s stomach which revealed that there was something inside.

A surgery was performed on the animal after which the gold mangalsutra was recovered.
