New Delhi:The West Bengal government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the order of CBI investigation by the Calcutta High Court on the Sandeshkhali case . The Bengal government has challenged the order of CBI investigation of Calcutta High Court in the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court will hear this case on April 29. The bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice Sandeep Mehta will hear the case.

In fact, Calcutta High Court had given a strong blow to the Mamata government and had decided to investigate the Sandeshkhali case by CBI.

The Calcutta High Court had ordered a CBI investigation into the Sandeshkhali incident and had said that the investigation would be monitored by the Calcutta High Court itself.

CBI is also investigating the attack on ED officials in Sandeshkhali on January 5. The controversy started when ED officials who had come to raid the house of TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan in the ration scam case were attacked by the mob. It is alleged that it was on the instructions of Shahjahan Sheikh that the mob attacked the officers of the investigating agency.

The High Court reprimanded the Bengal government
The High Court, while reprimanding the TMC government of Bengal, had said, “Given the complexity of the cases in Sandeshkhali, there is no doubt that an impartial investigation should be conducted. We are of the opinion that the state (whichever The agency has been made in-charge, give it proper support.”
