Vande Bharat: PM Modi To Flag Off 10 New Vande Bharat Trains Tomorrow

On March 12, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 6000 projects worth more than Rs. 85 thousand crores from Ahmedabad.

PRAYAGRAJ: For the first time two Vande Bharat trains will operate  from North Central Railway (NCR)  on March 12. Out of  these, one Vande Bharat will run from Prayagraj Junction while the other Vande Bharat will run from Khajuraho Railway Station to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station.

General Manager  NCR Ravindra Goyal told reporters that the number of Vande Bharat trains running in the state will increase from six to 10 while the total number in the country will be 51. PM Modi will flag off 10 new Vande Bharat on March 12.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off 10 new Vande Bharat trains on March 12. The General Manager said that currently 41 pairs of Vande Bharat are running in the country. On March 12, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 6000 projects worth more than Rs. 85 thousand crores from Ahmedabad.

In this, Gorakhpur Vande Bharat will be extended till Prayagraj Junction. It will also stop at Rae Bareli station. PM will also inaugurate three Jan Aushadhi Kendras at Agra Cantt, Jhansi and Mathura Junction and 57 OSOP stalls of ‘One Station One Product’ (OSOP) in NCR.

Vande Bharat Express from Prayagraj Junction to Gorakhpur and Khajuraho to Hazrat Nizamuddin will run from NCR. The 401 km long New Khurja-Sahnewal Freight Corridor will be dedicated to the nation and the PM will virtually flag off a freight train from New Khurja. Along with this, goods trains will run from six other places from DFC. The program will be telecast live at 35 places including Prayagraj Junction of NCR and 24 stations of DFC.

He further said that Ministry of Railways to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ approach of Government of India, to provide market for local/indigenous products and generate additional income opportunities for marginalized sections of the society. With this objective, “One Station One Product” (OSOP) scheme has been launched.

The objective of the scheme is to provide better livelihood opportunities to local artisans, potters, weavers/handloom weavers, craftsmen etc. through the provision of sales outlets at railway stations across the country. Through this medium, the aim is to provide better livelihood opportunities to local artisans, potters, weavers/handloom weavers, craftsmen . Through this programme, 6 lakh Vishwakarma Bandhus will join the program venues.
