PRAYAGRAJ: The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested Husband Kripashankar Singh, and wife Binda Sona alias Manju alias Sona on charges of Naxal connection. He worked as an advocate while his wife worked as a typist. The team raided Jayantipur locality of Dhumanganj in the early hours. On the other hand, the people around were shocked to know about the arrest of both of them in Naxal connection.
According to the sources, the couple lived in Jayantipur locality from last three-four years. Kripashankar Singh used to call himself as a lawyer in criminal cases while his wife used to work as a typist sitting outside the High Court. Both of them left their house together in the morning and returned together in the evening. They did not have much interaction with the people of the locality.
Earlier, the couple was also interrogated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on charges of trying to revive the Urban Naxal Movement. On September 5, along with Seema Azad and Vishwavijay’s house, NIA had also reached Kripashankar’s house in Rasoolabad and interrogated the couple for hours.
In this case, social activist and organization secretary of PUCL, Seema Azad, alleges that Kripashankar Singh and his wife were arrested for helping the people who were falsely implicated in the Naxal connection case. Went. He claims that Kripashankar had filed a writ against ATS in the Supreme Court. Apart from this, he is advocating the cases of many people. That is why action was taken against him by making false allegations.
ATS had sent the mobile phones of the accused for forensic examination. On receiving the FSL report in the year 2023, two other accused named Brijesh Kushwaha and Prabha were arrested. At the same time, strong evidence was found in the recent FSL report about the accused identified as Binda Sona and her husband Kripashanka.
According to ATS, Kripashankar, a resident of Kushinagar, has completed polytechnic from Deoria. In the year 2004, he joined the NGO ‘Rupantar’ of Binayak Sen and his wife Alina Sen in Raipur, Chhattisgarh where he met Binda Sona alias Manju, a resident of Raipur. Both of them married and joined CPI (Maoist). On the instructions of the organization, both of them came to Delhi in the year 2007-08. He started propagating Maoist ideology among farmers, laborers and students in the rural areas of Deoria and Kushinagar from Delhi in year 2009.
