Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Resigns Over BJP’s Deal With Nephew Chirag Paswan’s Party

“My party and I were treated unfairly. Thus, I am giving up my position as minister,” Mr. Paras declared.

Pashupati Kumar Paras, the uncle of Chirag Paswan, the leader of another group of the Lok Janshakti party, has resigned as a Union Minister, just days after the BJP finalized its seat-sharing arrangement with Paswan for the Lok Sabha polls.

“The NDA coalition has been declared. I express my gratitude to the Prime Minister. My party and I were treated unfairly. Thus, I am giving up my position as minister,” Mr. Paras declared.
