RPF Constable Open Fires In Running Jaipur-Mumbai Train Killing 4 Including An ASI

Firing in train: An official reported that an RPF constable shot and killed four people, including an assistant sub-inspector, on board a Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express train that was travelling through Maharashtra on Monday. The RPF ASI and three other railway passengers were killed shortly after 5 a.m. by gunfire from the constable’s automatic pistol, according to the official—about 100 kilometers distance Palghar from Mumbai.

The officer claimed that Chetan Kumar Choudhary started shooting at ASI Tika Ram Meena, who was in charge of his escort duty, as the train was moving. The report added that after killing his superior, the cop walked to another bogie and killed three passengers. With the assistance of Government Railway Police and RPF authorities, the constable was apprehended by police at Mira Road.

Constable caught by police

According to preliminary information, the incident happened at 5.23 am in coach B5 of the Jaipur Express train (12956). “It was confirmed that CT Chetan on escort duty fired on an escort in-charge ASI. The train has arrived at Borivali and as per advance information casualty of three civilians has also been reported, in addition to ASI. The said constable has been caught. DCP North GRP has been informed,” officials said. Pictures have come up which show the bullet shots on the train.

“I was not feeling well,” reasons the constable

The Western Railway Police Commissioner has provided insight into the terrible incident’s potential cause. The RPF constable involved in the grief occurrence, Chetan Kumar, reportedly lost his composure because he wasn’t feeling well.

He denied any disagreement taking place before the shooting, which resulted in the deaths of four people—including an ASI—and the injuries of a number of others.
