PM Modi To Address Nation In 128th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Episode Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation today in the 128th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat.

The broadcast will reach millions of listeners across India and abroad at 11 AM through the expansive networks of Akashvani (All India Radio) and Doordarshan.

All Akashvani and Doordarshan channels will air the programme, and the AIR News website, along with the Newsonair mobile application, will also offer access.

The YouTube channels of AIR News, DD News, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will live-stream the programme.

After the main broadcast in Hindi, Akashvani will transmit regional-language versions, ensuring nationwide accessibility.

A Platform for Public Connection

Since its launch in October 2014, Mann Ki Baat has emerged as a significant communication channel through which the Prime Minister engages directly with citizens.

The programme spotlights grassroots initiatives, encourages civic participation, and raises awareness of national priorities such as environmental conservation, digital literacy, and women’s empowerment.

The previous episode, aired on 26 October, marked the 127th edition.

In that address, PM Modi extended greetings for Chhath Parv, commended young creators contributing to the revival of Sanskrit, and celebrated the expanding global recognition of India’s coffee sector.

Highlighting Grassroots Efforts

During the October broadcast, PM Modi also reflected on various citizen-led initiatives.

He spoke of the GST Bachat Utsav, which drew widespread public interest, and praised innovative efforts such as the ‘Garbage Café’ in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, where individuals receive meals in exchange for plastic waste.

He also spotlighted Bengaluru engineer Kapil Sharma’s campaign to rejuvenate the city’s lakes, underlining the transformative power of local action.

Further, the Prime Minister acknowledged the Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for increasing the inclusion of Indian-breed dogs in their units, a step that underscores the government’s emphasis on indigenous capabilities.

Over the years, Mann Ki Baat has served not only as a platform for addressing national issues but also as a catalyst for inspiring people-driven movements.

By showcasing stories of ordinary citizens contributing to social change, the programme continues to foster a culture of community participation and collective responsibility.

Today’s episode is expected to continue this tradition, as PM Modi reflects on ongoing national endeavours and celebrates the spirit of public involvement that defines Mann Ki Baat.
