On Thursday, the Delhi Police moved to court seeking permission to conduct a polygraph test on the six individuals detained in relation to the security breach at Parliament. Judge Hardeeep Kaur of the Additional Sessions heard the application and noted that the counsel for a few of the accused were not present, therefore the meeting was posted to January 2.
During the plea hearing, the six accused had also been brought before the court by the police. Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Amol Dhanraj Shinde, Neelam Devi, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat are the accused individuals will be police custody until January 5. Public prosecutor Akhand Pratap Singh on behalf of the Delhi police had earlier informed the court that “the attack was well planned.”
In addition, he had argued in court that the accused must be questioned while in custody in order to determine the “true reason behind the attack” and whether or not they were connected to any terrorist groups or other hostile nations.
