On the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour.

After the city police stated they needed to identify every member of the conspiracy, the trial court on December 21 extended the police custody of four accused—including Azad—arrested in the Parliament security breach case till January 5.

On the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, two individuals, broke major security protocols by jumping into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour. They shouted slogans and released yellow gas from canisters before being overpowered by the MPs.

The matter is likely to be mentioned for an urgent hearing before a vacation bench of the high court on Thursday.

During the hearing, Delhi Police told the court that the trial court did not follow proper procedure and the FIR contained sensitive details.

Rahul Gandhi claimed that the demonstrators intended to bring up the topic of unemployment and connected it to the security lapse at Parliament.

He was produced by the Special Cell of Delhi Police before the concerned court at the end of the remand period granted earlier last week by the same court.

Both Saikrishna and Manoranjan were reportedly batchmates at a Bengaluru engineering college, and Saikrishna was implicated by Manoranjan during questioning.
