Navy Chief Admiral R Hari pays homage to General Bipin Rawat on 2 death anniversary

Admiral R Hari Kumar spoke at the function and emphasized the late general’s significant contribution to the development of the Agnipath recruitment program.

Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar paid tribute to the late General’s visionary contributions to the Indian Armed Forces on the occasion of the second anniversary of the late General Bipin Rawat’s death as India’s first Chief of Defence Staff.

Admiral R Hari Kumar spoke at the function and emphasized the late general’s significant contribution to the development of the Agnipath recruitment program.

Admiral R Hari Kumar stated that the Agnipath project, which permits young men and women to enlist in the military for a restricted time, was also conceptualized by General Rawat and that the armed forces are “benefitting from it.”

Admiral R Hari Kumar thought back on General Rawat’s passionate support of inter-service synergy, highlighting his conviction that India’s combat readiness for 21st-century warfare should be strengthened by a single military color scheme that combines the army’s olive-green, the navy’s white, and the air force’s blue into a harmonious “purple.”

“He was a cult figure, and that he could connect with subordinates and motivate them,” adding, “he enjoyed the full confidence of the national leadership,” said Admiral R Hari Kumar.

“Importantly, he was liked and respected outside the military environment, and even the daily wage workers could connect with this officer and gentleman,” he added.
