In Palamu district of Jharkhand, a 16-year-old boy is accused of stabbing his father to death after forcing his mother out of the home, a police officer said on Friday.
According to the officer, Chotu Sharma, 42, a resident of Pakriya village, was fatally stabbed on Wednesday, presumably by his son.
After committing the crime, the accused left the scene.
A day prior to the incident, the victim had beaten his wife and driven her away from home due to domestic disputes, according to Sanjay Kumar Rajak Officer-in-Charge of Nawajaypur police station.
The boy killed his father on Wednesday because he was upset about his move.
The police officer stated that the accused boy’s paternal cousin saw him stabbing Chotu and reported the incident. The accused boy’s mother had left for her parents’ home in the neighbourhood.
