On Wednesday, according to police, two assailants shot and killed a lawyer in his office at the tehsil court complex in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
Around 2:00 pm, two assailants entered into Manoj Chowdhary’s room where he was eating lunch and opened fire on him. They claimed he died on the spot.
Police teams with forensic experts showed up at the scene shortly after the incident. Chowdhary’s body was sent for a post-mortem after the legal procedures were finished, they added.
According to Nipun Agarwal, deputy commissioner of police (City), police teams are getting CCTV footage from cameras placed in the court premises.
According to the police, other solicitors were conducting a meeting at the time of the attack to plan about stike which had been called by bar organizations in western Uttar Pradesh to support their colleagues in Hapur.
