Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Honors Retired Teachers, Calls Them Real Life Heroes Of Society

On Thursday, a felicitation ceremony for retired teachers of Lucknow was organized by Sarvajan Hitaya Sanrakshan Samiti at SKD Academy located in Vrindavan Yojana. In the program, Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh honored the teachers who retired from government service after completing their superannuation age by presenting them with Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta and mementoes.

On this occasion, Dr. Singh described retirement as a point of life stage, he said that after retirement, the social responsibility of teachers increases further, the work of teachers to give direction to the society continues throughout their life.

On this occasion, Sarojini Nagar MLA underlined the contribution of teachers in the progress of the country and said that as a result of the dedication and spirit of service of our teachers, the number of primary schools has increased from 1.5 lakh to 15 lakh after independence, in the last 77 years. The literacy rate of India has increased from 18% to 78%, about 4 crore 40 lakh youth of the country are pursuing higher education.

Today every second NASA scientist is an Indian, the distinction of having more than 25 scientists from Lucknow among the top 2% of scientists and physicians in the world is the result of our teachers sacrificing their sleep for the dreams of their learners.

Speaking in the seminar organized on ‘Modern Technical Education and Changing Role of Teacher’ along with Retired Teacher Honor Ceremony, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said that in the next 3-5 years, the nature of about 85 lakh jobs will change as per the digital requirements. The meaning of literacy has changed, digital education is the future of the youth. He further added that to provide modern, digital and employment-oriented education to the students of Sarojininagar, till now smart classes have been established in 10 colleges of the area and digital labs have been established in 25 colleges.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh expressed his gratitude to SKD Singh, the founder of SKD Academy, for organizing the grand program and described him as the main pillar of the education in Lucknow.

Sarojininagar MLA said that thanks to SKD Singh, the dream of becoming IAS, PCS, doctor, engineer of not only Lucknow but thousands of students of UP and the entire country has been fulfilled.

SKD Academy Director Manish Singh, Principal Diet Ajay Kumar Singh, HN Pandey, teachers Shailendra Dubey, Vinay Kumar, Vineet, Reena Tripathi and a large number of dignitaries were present in the program.
