Delhi Police arrested two alleged members of Pro-Khalistan groups for writing anti-India slogans on the walls of Delhi metro station on Wednesday.
Both the accused are connected to an organisation called ‘Sikhs for Justice’ (SFJ) and were nabbed from Punjab as per the police.
Several metro station walls were scribbled with Pro-Khalistani slogans on August 27.
Walls of metro stations located in West Delhi including Punjabi Bagh, Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar, Udyog Nagar, Maharaja Surajmal Stadium, and Nangloi were defaced with slogans like ‘Delhi will become Khalistan’ and ‘Khalistan Referendum Zindabad’.
As per police officials, Gurupatwant Singh Pannu, the head of the separatist organisation SFJ ordered the boys to write these pro-Khalistani slogans on metro walls.
The accused were identified after police examined multiple CCTV cameras installed at the metro stations following which the cops found several members of the banned organisation SFJ roaming at the station.
A third person is also apprehended by the police, however, his role is still not clarified by the police.
