Elvish Yadav, a YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner, has been questioned by the Noida Police regarding the alleged use of snake venom at a rave party in the city.
To escape the scrutiny of the media, Elvish Yadav made a covert appearance before the police at the Sector-20 Police Station. He could also be questioned on Wednesday.
Following the discovery of snakes and snake venom at a rave party in Noida last week, the YouTuber gained national attention. Five persons were detained by the police on suspicion of using snake venom during the celebration.
Later, during the interrogation of the accused, Elvish Yadav’s name was mentioned. According to reports, the detained individuals disclosed that they had previously provided snakes to events hosted by the 26-year-old Bigg Boss OTT champion.
Five snakes have been evacuated for medical attention by the forest department in the meantime. According to a medical report, four snakes were found to be non-poisonous, but one cobra had its venom gland removed.
The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act makes it illegal to remove a snake’s venom glands. If found guilty, a person may spend seven years in prison.
The snakes were released into the forest with court permission following a medical examination.
Allegations made against Elvish Yadav have been refuted, with the actor describing them as “baseless” and not even “1% true.”
