Disputes surrounding donations and the management of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya continue to attract attention.
Niranjani Akhara Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri has now shared his views on the controversy during a digital podcast.
Swami Kailashanand Giri claimed that he had spoken at length with Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, and Champat Rai, the then General Secretary of the trust. He said he spoke to Champat Rai for nearly 50 minutes following the developments.
The next day, Nripendra Misra reportedly contacted him, with the call connected by his media in-charge, Shantanu.
During his conversation with Misra, Swami Kailashanand Giri said he raised concerns over any possible negligence in the management of the temple. He reportedly told Misra that if any shortcomings occurred under his supervision, those responsible for overseeing the arrangements would have to be held accountable.
Swami Kailashanand Giri further called for a thorough investigation and demanded strict action against anyone found guilty.
The saint’s remarks reflect growing concern within sections of the religious community over the controversy.
Swami Kailashanand Giri stressed that the sanctity of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple must remain paramount. He also maintained that authorities must not overlook any irregularity or negligence in managing Ram Lalla’s temple and must take appropriate action against those responsible.
