Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the BJP’s successive electoral victories, claiming that voters had rejected the INDI Alliance despite what he described as its lies, confusion and propaganda.
In a post on X, Shah cited the NDA’s victories in by-elections in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry, along with recent municipal election results in Rajasthan and Tripura. He said the outcomes reflected continued public confidence in the BJP and its allies.
Shah accused opposition parties of questioning institutions after electoral defeats, alleging that they had lost their public support. He further said voters had recognised this pattern and once again given the BJP a strong mandate.
The Home Minister congratulated West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Tripura Chief Minister Professor Manik Saha and Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy on the electoral victories.
Shah further praised state party presidents and party workers for their efforts, crediting their hard work for the results.

The Minister’s remarks sought to highlight the BJP and NDA’s electoral performance across several states and Union Territories, presenting the victories as a sign of continued public support for the alliance under PM Modi’s leadership.
The post directly targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the wider opposition alliance, accusing them of spreading misleading claims and propaganda. Shah framed the results as a setback for the opposition and an endorsement of the BJP’s leadership and governance agenda.
