Shivling has been established in its sanctum sanctorum about which it is said that it was established by Rahu himself. Rahu was a devotee of Lord Shiva, due to which it does not cause any harm to the devotees of Lord Shiva during its Dasha or Mahadasha.

Special bhog is offered in the temple

Whoever comes to this temple for the removal of Rahu Dosh, offers moong khichdi in the form of Prasad. Moong khichdi is given to everyone in the Bhandara held here as Prasad. Considering the antiquity of the temple, its protection is under the Archaeological Survey of India.
