One thousand Palestinian children from Gaza Strip, along with their families, are receiving medical care at UAE hospitals thanks to the directive of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This is a continuation of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to help people in need all over the world.
The announcement was made over the phone today by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President Mirjana Spoljaric and Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE has extended its ongoing efforts to provide relief assistance to the Palestinian people, particularly children, in response to the dire humanitarian conditions they are facing. The initiative to host children from the Gaza Strip and provide them with medical care prior to their safe return home.
Spoljaric and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also spoke about the necessity of stepping up regional and global efforts to support the humanitarian response in order to meet the needs of people impacted by the current crisis, as well as the significance of permitting the safe, unhindered, and continuous delivery of relief and medical aid to civilians in Gaza.
