15 Killed, More Than 40 Injured After Train Derails In Pakistan’s Sindh

The derailment happened at the Sahara railway station in Nawabshah, Sindh’s southern region.

According to local reports, at least 15 persons were killed when a train crashed in southern Pakistan on Sunday. “The Hazara Express was travelling from Karachi to Abbottabad, and eight coaches have derailed,” Mohsin Syal, railway officer, told HUM News.

According to Pakistan’s main television channel, at least 15 people were killed and more than 40 were injured.

The derailment occurred at the Sahara railway station in Nawabshah, Sindh’s southern region.

According to Ijaz Shah, a regional railway official, several people were killed and many were killed in the train accident, a relief train has been sent to the site.

Images circulating on social media show hundreds of people at the site, some breaking windows to assist passengers to clamber out of the twisted carriages with at least one coach toppled.
