80 percent of hotels in Ayodhya are booked ahead of the inauguration of Ram temple on January 22. The rent of rooms in hotel has surged upto 5 times due to less availability of rooms.
Hotel rent increased up to five times
According to the sources, about 3 to 5 lakh people will be visiting the city on the occasion of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ on January 22 during which the idol of 5-year-old Ram Lala will be seated in the enchanting temple. MakeMyTrip and Booking.com like online agencies are showing “no availability” in the majority of Ayodhya’s hotels ahead of the event. Rent has increased up to five times over the average amount if rooms are available.
What is Hotel’s room rent for day ahead of the event?
According to reports from India Today, a spokesperson of the Cygnett Collection Hotel in Ayodhya said the rooms are already reserved and that the remaining ones are available for Rs 70,240. The most luxurious hotel in Ayodhya, Park Inn Radisson, has been booked up for room rent of Rs 1 lakh for a day.
Special Menu to be followed in Hotels of Ayodhya
Hotels in Ayodhya have made a special menu using millets. Head chef of Ramayana Hotel, Rajesh Singh said, “To welcome the guests, we have made a special menu using a lot of millet, vegetables, with a special focus on Awadh cuisine. During the week, no non-vegetarian items will be served and a special focus has been given on the variety of local desserts and sweets in our special menu.”
