This Karnataka Doctor Charges Just Rs 10 As Consultation Fee!

A doctor from MK Prasad Puttur Taluka of the Dakshina Kannada district only charges Rs 10 as consultation fee. Today, a lot of doctors in private hospitals charge a whopping amount of money for their services. MK Prasad is one of the most well-known doctors in the region and works at Adarsh Hospital. He is the director of the Adarsh Hospital and has gained popularity as “10 rupee doctor”. In this hospital, Prasad has been caring for more than a hundred patients every day for a very long time.

Following the completion of his MBBS, Prasad initially spent many years working as a government physician. He then made the decision to invest a sizable sum of money in the construction of his own hospital. Prasad also had to take out a loan to build the three-story hospital. He overcame each challenge and continued to serve the underprivileged with great zeal and vigour. Despite his old age, Prasad attends each patient calmly and tries best possible service.

People have easier access to his hospital for health checkups because it is situated in a residential area.

However, Dr. Prasad courted controversy when Leaders of the Mangaluru Pradesh Catholic Sabha filed a complaint against him at one point. Stany Lobo, the president of the Catholic Sabha, met Amathe Vikram, the superintendent of police for the Dakshina Kannada District. The doctor was accused by the group’s members of making hate speech that was directed at the Christian community.
