Millions of travelers use the Indian Railways every day to go where they’re going. However, few travelers are not aware of all the facilities offered by railways to ease travel. Similar to that, many travelers are ignorant of and rarely use the Circular Journey Ticket. According to the Indian Railways website, www.indianrail.gov.in, this service is provided by the IRCTC for all trips (aside from scheduled routes) that start and end at the same station.
Benefits of Circular Journey Tickets
- This facility is appropriate for both solo and group travelers, but especially for those going on a pilgrimage or sightseeing tour.
- The Railways Circular Journey feature includes two separate journeys. Each journey is seen as taking up half of the total distance.
- These are available for all routes except the regular ones.
- The ticket covers up to 8 stations/stoppage points.
- It is necessary for the start and end stations to match. The rate of each ticket incorporated within the Circular Journey ticket is telescopic, i.e, for more stations included in your itinerary, the lesser will be the price of each inclusive ticket.
- A circular journey ticket is therefore less expensive than the sum of the prices of the individual tickets purchased separately.
