A group of tattoo artists’ massive tattoo of the American rapper Takeoff set a new Guinness World Record. The world’s largest tattoo, a heartfelt ode to the late rapper, was inked in Atlanta, Georgia, according to Guinness World Records, by artists from Atlanta Ink, Iron Palm Tattoos, and Pese Noir (all USA).
“The superlative tattoo measures a whopping 79 square feet and 6 square inches in area and was inked onto a giant piece of synthetic silicone skin that artists use to hone their craft,” according to the Guinness World Records.
The real name of Takeoff was Kirsnick Khari Ball, he was a member of the hip-hop trio Migos and was tragically killed in November 2022.
According to Atlanta tattoo artist JR Outlaw, who spoke to the media said, “It is remarkable to be able to create something that sticks with someone for their lives.”
He continued by saying, “I simply want people to think about him as a person and his impact of him on music and in the city.”
The rapper Takeoff has been recognized by musicians before. Offset revealed in April that he had inked his whole back de él in tribute to his late bandmate and cousin de él. The tattoo covered the bulk of Offset’s back from him.
Offset, posted a photo of his tattoo of him on Instagram with the words “Love you 4L and after,” showcasing it from two distinct perspectives.
A picture of Takeoff wearing multiple gold chains was inked on that body part.
