Upendrra Rai was conferred with ‘Dr APJ Kalam Award’ for transforming lives of several people as ‘Iconic Media Personality in the country’and motivating the youth as an educator on the 8th death anniversary of APJ Abdul Kalam.
Today, he attended the conclave organised by the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Global Foundation on the death anniversary of APJ Abdul Kalam. Many other dignitaries including Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, actors Ranjit, Akbar Khan, Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam’s press secretary SM Khan, former Union Minister Vijay Goel and Delhi government minister Imran Hussain also participated in the event.
In his address during this program, Upendrra Rai, Chairman of Bharat Express, remembering the missile man APJ Abdul Kalam, said, “If the example of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb in India is given and the names of some great men are added to it, if I add APJ’s name in the list, I think no individual will have any objection to it.”
Talking about India’s G-20 presidency in conclave, Bharat Express’s Editor in Chief said, “Today India is world’s 5th largest economy but till the time India will pass the baton of G-20 presidency to other countries, it will score the position of world’s 3 largest economy. India is giving the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and our PM Modi has emphasized on this message that India wanted to give through its G20 presidency in the entire world.
