India Hosts China For First Time To Meet In Person Since Flare-Up

On Wednesday, India and China held another diplomatic talks to
resolve the eastern Ladakh Border standoff. Though the issue remained a tough nut to crack, It is the first time when India hosted 27th Meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and and Coordination on India-China Border affairs (WMCC) in person since May 2020.

Last diplomatic talks were held in Beijing

Before this last diplomatic talks were held in Beijing, China.
Both the nations agreed to hold next round of diplomatic talks soon.

Peace and tranquillity will normalize bilateral relations

The Indian Government stated, “Both the sides have reviewed the situation at the LAC in Western Sector of India-China border. Both the nations also had open and frank talks regarding the disengagement in the remaining areas. Restoration of peace and tranquillity will create condition for normalising bilateral relations, said the Indian government.

Readout of Meeting

After the meeting it was also mentioned, “In order to achieve this objective, in accordance with existing bilateral agreements and protocols they agreed to hold the next (19th) round of Senior Commander’s meeting at an early date. The two sides agreed to continue discussions through military and diplomatic channels.”
