Chandrayaan-3, the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) lunar mission, marks a triumph as it attains a circular Moon orbit. The stage is set for the detachment of the Vikram lander, ushering in a new phase of exploration.

The spacecraft is currently undergoing a series of orbital adjustments after traveling around two-thirds of the distance to the Moon....

The spacecraft is on a swift trajectory, aimed at securing a successful lunar landing ahead of an Indian spacecraft's corresponding pursuit.

ISRO's Chairman, S Somanath, announced that the lander of India's third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3, named Vikram will achieve a soft landing on the Moon's surface on August 23.

The integrated spacecraft will have to achieve a 100km circular orbit around the Moon before the landing module detaches from the propulsion module.

ISRO’s LVM3-M4/CHANDRAYAAN-3 MISSION posted a message on X which was known as Twitter earlier. The post said, “Hello! This is Chandrayaan 3 with a special update...."

The ISRO announced on Friday that the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, launched on July 14, has covered approximately two-thirds of the distance to the Moon.
