The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) received approval on Thursday from the Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to construct a third Launchpad (TLP).

India has become the fourth nation in the world to successfully master space docking technology, following the successful docking of two satellites as part of the Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) mission.

ISRO announced on Sunday that two satellites under the SpaDeX Docking Mission successfully approached within three meters in a trial attempt for space docking.

Narayanan, a distinguished scientist, currently serves as the Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) in Valiamala, Kerala.

The first major launch will be the NVS-02, an advanced navigation satellite, set for January. This mission, using the GSLV rocket, will also mark ISRO’s 100th space mission, a significant achievement for the organization.

ISRO announced on Tuesday that it successfully conducted Gaganyaan recovery trials with the Indian Navy on December 6. The trials took place at the Eastern Naval Command using a well deck ship near Visakhapatnam

ISRO announced the delay on the social media platform X, stating, “Due to an anomaly detected in PROBA-3 spacecraft PSLV-C59/PROBA-3 launch rescheduled to tomorrow.”
