Pragyaan Rover
Pragyan Rover: Playing in the lap of the Moon’s uncle, our Chandrayaan’s rover “Pragyan” is diligently engaged in its tasks after landing on the southern pole of the Moon. The Indian Space Agency ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) has recently shared a video on its Twitter handle, illustrating how the lander “Vikram” and the rover “Pragyan” are involved in exploration activities. A new video of “Pragyan” has emerged, wherein the rover appears to be frolicking like a mischievous child on the lunar surface.
Upon watching this 24-second video, you will readily acknowledge that “Pragyan” on the Moon seems to be akin to a child engaging in playful activities. In the video, “Pragyan” can be seen traversing around in a playful manner. Many scientists have noted that “Pragyan,” in a manner reminiscent of a playful child, is delighting in the Moon’s environs. It is worth mentioning that it has dispatched numerous crucial pieces of information back to Earth. Simultaneously, the recent video showcasing its cheerful demeanor has been warmly received by the public.

In the caption accompanying the video, ISRO stated, “The rover was rotated in search of a safe path. The video capturing the rover’s movement was taken by the lander’s camera. It gives the impression of a child merrily playing in the courtyard of the Moon, and the mother watching affectionately. Doesn’t it?”
Discovery of Oxygen and Sulfur on the Moon
The Chandrayaan-3 lander “Vikram” and rover “Pragyan” have thus far unearthed insights into various elements and gases on the Moon. Another instrument aboard “Pragyan” employed a unique technique to confirm the presence of sulfur in the lunar region. ISRO reported that the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectroscope (APXS) device has detected sulfur along with other minor elements on the lunar surface. Moreover, the presence of oxygen on the Moon has also been confirmed through these endeavors.
