The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Delhi Police seeking a response to the bail plea filed by Naresh Balian, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Uttam Nagar, who was arrested in a case under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

The court ordered the Dean and Head of the Faculty of Law to ensure that date sheets are released at least 15 days before exams.

Justice Amit Mahajan, while granting bail, highlighted a crucial point. He said keeping Amit in jail without a trial violated his constitutional rights under Article 21.

Raghav Chadha has approached the High Court against the lower court's decision, which said that he has no right to continue occupying the government Type 7 bungalow at Pandara Road.

The case will next be heard on February 6. Earlier, the Delhi High Court declined to take cognizance of the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) prosecution complaint seeking to make Khan an accused and release him from custody.

The Delhi High Court dismissed a plea by a woman claiming to be the widow of the great-grandson of Bahadur Shah Zafar II.

The court noted that stray animals should not occupy public spaces, including parks, roads, schools, and hospitals. Such areas must remain accessible and safe for all, especially vulnerable groups

The court criticized the presence of stray animals in public spaces and ordered the Delhi Chief Secretary to attend the next hearing via video conferencing

In addition, court has sought reply from Delhi Police and UPSC on Pooja Khedkar's anticipatory bail petition. The court will hear the case next on August 21.
