Dr Saurabh Sethi, a gastroenterologist trained at India’s prestigious AIIMS and further educated at Harvard and Stanford Universities, recently took to social media to highlight the health benefits of six underappreciated seeds.
In a video posted on September 17 via Instagram, Dr Sethi called them ‘tiny nutritional powerhouses’ that can offer big health returns when consumed regularly.
In his video, Dr Sethi broke down the unique health advantages of each seed, suggesting how they could play a role in preventing and managing everyday health issues. His recommendations included:
Dr Sethi recommended incorporating these seeds into daily meals, such as sprinkling chia or flaxseeds on smoothies or oats, adding roasted pumpkin seeds to salads, or sipping fennel tea after meals.
