Wrestler Not ‘Minor’, Girl Changes Statement In Court Against WFI Chief

The “minor” wrestler who accused Wrestling Federation president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment was not a minor at the time of the incident and has changed her statement in court. Her father claimed she had changed her bit related to her age but her accusation of sexual harassment remains the way it was. He also mentioned that her daughter has withdrawn the complaint against the WFI Chief is false.

POCSO Act can be dropped

As a result of accusation the BJP MP was booked under the charges of POCSO Act against sexual assault on children. The POCSO accusations against the Chief of the Wrestling Federation can be dropped due to the change in age status. Under Section 10 of the POCSO, under which he was arrested, carries a seven-year prison sentence.

Wrestlers began their protest January

Two cases were filed on April 29, four months after the wrestlers began their campaign against him in January. He has one case against him under the Indian Penal Code as a result of seven wrestlers accusing him of sexual harassment all combined.

Anurag Thakur presented a written proposal

By June 15, the police is expected to finish their investigation and submit charge sheet. Anurag Thakur, the Union Sports Minister, presented the written proposal after a six-hour conversation with Sakshee Malikkh and Bajrang Punia. The wrestlers have stated that they will give their response after collecting feedback from organisations that support them.
