Viral: Man seeks help for dying father, Sonu Sood says, “Won’t let your father die”

A number of X users also shared their ideas for crowdfunding to support Pallav.

Pallav Singh, an X user, shared on social media his heartbreaking experience of his father’s failing health and the financial difficulties he faced in getting an appointment for heart surgery at AIIMS, Delhi. Sonu Sood replied to him after the post went viral, promising to help.

Pallav, who is from Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, said that his father’s heart was only functioning at 20%, so he expressed the family’s intense efforts to receive appropriate medical attention.

“My father will die, soon or very soon. Yes, I know what I am saying. I am writing this while standing in a queue at AIIMS Delhi,” Pallav wrote in the first post. “I am from the Indian middle class which happens to constitute most of the Indian population and I have finally received the bill which kept me a step away from being poor. A hospital bill. I don’t think I will be able to save my father,” he continued.

Pallav described the family’s financial and emotional toll from having to wait a long time for the necessary surgery because they couldn’t afford private healthcare.

A number of X users also shared their ideas for crowdfunding to support Pallav. Another person mentioned that the issue has been brought to the attention of Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

The incident shows the humane side of social media while also highlighting the difficulties people encounter when accessing healthcare in India.

We hope that Pallav’s father emerges from this terrible circumstance in good health!
