Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath inaugurated ‘Know Your Army Festival’ was on Friday at the Surya Sports Complex in Lucknow. He was also seen with a gun in his hands after he gave the event’s opening remarks. An exhibit featuring a display of the Indian Army’s modern weapons, such as tanks, artillery guns, and radars, has been organized for three days in anticipation of the upcoming Army Day. The ‘Know Your Army Festival’ is open to all with zero entry fee, which is noteworthy. To celebrate Army Day on January 15, for the first time this festival has been organised in Lucknow.

Taking to X, Yogi Adityanath said, “Participated in the inaugural program of the three-day ‘Know Your Army Festival-2024’ organised in Lucknow from today. Through this ceremony, our youth will get an opportunity to know the Indian Army, their bravery and valour. Heartiest congratulations to the Indian Army for this ceremony!”

Exhibition organised featuring Army’s modern weapons
As per the sources, “Know Your Army Festival” will take place at the cantonment’s Surya Sports Complex starting on Friday. As part of this, the public will be able to view an exhibition of Army weaponry including T-90 tank, T-70 tank, Akashvani artillery gun, 9 Vajra, Weapon Locating Radar Swathi, 155mm artillery gun and other items to learn more about their forces.

Exhibition Timings
Participants will be able to enter the exhibition between 10 AM and 4 PM and the exhibition will continue till January 7. To obtain information about army recruitment from the Zone Recruitment Office in Lucknow, people can visit the Youth Help desk.
