Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritising Hindi over Tamil, calling him a “hypocrite” and said that “Even Modi’s eyes won’t believe his tears.” He asked why the Prime Minister who spoke in English on previous visits to Tamil Nadu and switched to Hindi today.
Taking to X, Stalin wrote, “Yesterday evening, Modi said he regrets not knowing how to speak in Tamil. Yesterday’s news also said that from here onwards the beautiful Tamil word ‘Vanoli’ will be changed to the Hindi word ‘Akashavani’. Even Modi’s eyes won’t believe his tears. So how will the Tamil people believe it? What kind of Tamil affection is it when you are poking your one eye and shedding tears from the other?”
He further added, “Hindi everywhere and Hindi in anything is the unfortunate achievement of the Modi government.”
Stalin also asked Prime Minister Modi about his 2019 pledge to use Tamil for announcements on flights from Tamil Nadu.
On a social media post, Stalin said, “Forget the flights, even the airports in the state have security personnel who don’t know either Tamil or English.”

He also said that if citizens wanted “democracy and social justice to prevail in the country” they should vote for INDIA bloc.
